In slightly less than 24 hrs Jan and I get to finally meet face to face. We met here on NASCARMATCH back in May. Just before my son and I went to Eldora for the Dream. Between the phone, text messages and e mail, we have shared a lot of moments and a lot about ourselves. However, all this electronic communication detracts from a good old fashioned conversation and sharing time between friends. I look forward to getting to know her better and her, me. We'll be picking up my 9 yr old son from school Fri AM and taking the hour and a half ride up to the track. RV, 4 wheeler, blow up 10' x 8' pool and all the other decor and bbq items that every race fans needs. Yes, my son is going too! No it's not a date, it's 2 friends going to a race together. What becomes of it after that, is left to fate. Personnally, I think I very much hope it transforms into a relationship that we both have confessed to be looking for. I strongly believe it has the capability to do so. As she is flying out in the am and does not have access to a pc/email between now and when she returns to work next Tues, she will not be able to view this until then. Thats why I have taken this oppurtunity to share these thoughts on our friendship. If anybody reads these blogs, stay tuned!
