I spent 22 years in the U.S. Navy. I currently reside in Memphis because of my job but have lived all over the U.S. I enjoyed serving my country and I'm very proud of the men and women that are currently serving our Nation.
I like watching NASCAR and all motorsports and getting to the track as often as I can. I'm an aspiring writer and I enjoy reading good books. I like most outdoor sports especially hiking and trail running, driving my Jeep Wrangler, collecting small arms, black powder & single action pistols, old school country and western, blue grass and discussing patriotism and politics.
I'm a pretty laid back guy who enjoys treating a woman like a lady. I'm very independent but a loyal companion and friend. My idea of an ideal weekend is hanging out close to home for a mellow weekend and maybe a drive in my Jeep, a hike in the woods, mountain biking or paddling a canoe. My ideal road trip is to a NASCAR or Indy car venue and taking in a weekend of watching qualifications, practice and races. An ideal first date would be picking you up and taking you to somewhere special for drinks and dinner. I eat healthy most of the time but I must admit I have a weakness for a good steak at a place like Ruth's Chris. After dinner we could retreat to some place where we could talk and get to know each other and develop a friendship. At this stage of my life friendship means the most to me.
I love animals and currently reside with my friend Tony the Cat. Tony is a feral cat who I adopted about five months ago. Tony has become a very lovable house cat. Occasionally Tony reminds me of his feral past by giving me a friendly bite on my calf.
